4-of -5 old wooden bridges in Geneva County are being replaced with one-and-a-half million dollars in Federal Emergency Managment agency funds.
Crews are busy replacing the Old Ben Pate Road Bridge outside of Black.
That bridge and several others were destroyed in March of 2009.
It took local officials countless hours of lobbying to finally secure the funds.
