A job-seeker in Georgia is using her knack for holiday decorating to light up her chances of landing a new gig.
"We've lived here 23 years, and we're known for our holiday lights.
They're not the Griswold family, but the Hickoks in Alpharetta are just as creative when it comes to displaying their holiday lights.
"The lights were an attempt to show my fun and creative side to problem solving."
Liz Hickok is not only in the holiday spirit. She's in search of a new job, and her resume is lit up on the side of her home.
"It says 'My wish, HR job, Liz Hickok, Linked In."
Needless to say, her Christmas wish list has people taking notice along Southlake Drive.
"I've had people stop when I'm out and telling me about positions they know with their company or some other company. I've had a lot of Linked In messages and Linked In views."
Hickok said she's heard from people as far away as Italy, but she's looking for that perfect job in Atlanta. In the meantime, she just hopes her neighborhood homeowners association will support her bright idea.
"If it weren't for this holiday time and I'm incorporating it into my Christmas lights I would definitely be getting a citation from the covenance committee."
