The GED test is changing.

Starting in January 2014 the test will be taken solely on computer. Along with the new format, the fee for the test will also increase from its original price of $50 to $150.

Testing officials are urging people who haven't completed the test to do so as soon as possible.

"It's a push now because students who have taken the version now...the 2002 version will have until December 2013 to retake the parts that they missed before January, before those changes, otherwise they'll have to retake the whole test again," says GED Adviser Lee Pierce.

For more information you can call the Wallace Community College Center for Workforce Development at (334) 556-2373.
