Friday on Foster Street
It's a late night for business owner Corey Gibbons.
Gibbons is hoping open doors during Foster Fest will bring in opportunities for his custom T-shirt business.
Gibbons said, “Our goal would be just get some exposure and let people know we're here and what we do offer.”
Gibbons is one of many.
Owners everywhere along Foster Street are keeping their lights on.
Dennis Lee, owner of Dennis Lee furniture said, “All businesses network so it gives us a chance to see people that didn't know we were here or people who walk into this business and don't even know what it is.”
Networking here and on social media.
Lee said, “What we've tried to do is get the word out through advertising venues and Facebook.”
Getting the word out to people like Jami Whillock.
Whillock said, “I think it's a very positive thing for Dothan to branch out and there be more than just chain restaurants and have local people building up their businesses.”
Vendor Lynn Konning agrees and brought her pottery wheels here for a spin.
Konning said, “It brings people downtown and you want the downtown area to grow, it's a positive influence.”
Bringing people downtown and driving in business.
