Bay County — The Florida Department of Health in Bay County will be offering a series of FREE diabetes self-management education classes starting Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. The classes will be facilitated by a Certified Diabetes Educator in a group discussion format, and are appropriate for people with diabetes as well as their caretakers and family members. Participants may attend one or all of the following classes:
April 18, 2013 Diabetes 101
April 25, 2013 Living Healthy with Diabetes
May 2, 2013 Food – Fact and Fiction
May 9, 2013 Do’s and Don’ts of Monitoring and Medication
The diabetes classes will meet in the auditorium at the Florida Department of Health in Bay County, 597 W. 11th Street, Panama City, FL 32401. Classes are free and open to the public. Please call Lisa Rahn at (850) 872-4455 Ext. 1344 to preregister.
