Freeport Man Arrested for Residential Burglary and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer
During the arrest, Bush struck a deputy. A taser was deployed as a means of less-lethal force to affect the arrest.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) yesterday arrested Britton Wayne Bush, 34, of Freeport, Fla. for burglary and battery on a law enforcement officer. .
The WCSO investigation began Feb. 5 after deputies received information that Britton allegedly entered a Freeport residence without permission and threatened to “blow up the house with dynamite.”
During the incident, the woman’s boyfriend advised Bush to leave the residence.
When he did not comply, the boyfriend pushed Bush outside and then locked the door. Bush allegedly entered the residence again and the woman’s boyfriend pushed Bush into the garage area of the residence as he continued to make threatening remarks to the residents.
Deputies located Bush walking on County Highway 83A. During the arrest, Bush struck a deputy. A taser was deployed as a means of less-lethal force to affect the arrest.
Bush was charged with one count of burglary of an occupied dwelling, a second-degree felony; one count of battery on a law enforcement officer, a third-degree felony; and one count of criminal mischief and property damage, a second-degree misdemeanor.
