"Freedom Riders" Organizer Speaks to Enterprise High School Students

An aide to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., spoke to young people in the Wiregrass.

Dr. Bernard Lafayette played a pivotal role in organizing "Freedom Rides" in the early 1960's.

Dr. Lafayette told Enterprise high school students and faculty unity is the key to bringing all races together.

The "Freedom Riders" drew network television attention when angry. White mobs attacked black bus riders in their attempt to end segregation in the south.
