The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says 29 year old Marcus Ellington died from a gunshot wound.
He was found last Thursday lying in the road on Lilly Lane.
The G.B.I and the Fort Gaines Police Department's efforts led to four arrests in the case.
21 year old Eddie Blackshear, 21 year old Brittani Baxter, 24 year old Shundell Wright and 19 year old Tenikqua Woodard have been charged with Felony Murder and Armed Robbery.
The G.B.I says they knew the victim.
Since the investigation is ongoing, they would not say how or what the situation surrounding Ellington's murder was.
Kim Baker with the G.B.I says after following leads, evidence and interviews they had enough probable cause the arrest them.
"We're always proud when we are able to develop evidence and the interviews lead us to the people that are responsible for crimes. So yes we're very excited about our arrest and our case as well as the Ft. Gaines Police Department, Chief Starling has been very helpful throughout this investigation,” Baker said.
Investigators used a laser camera in the investigation that can capture in-depth details of the crime scene and reproduce it in 3-D.
They’ve had the technology for a year or so and say it’s the future of crime scene investigation.
They say the technology has proven to be especially helpful in shooting investigations like this one.
The case will be prosecuted by the Pataula Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office.
