Fort Rucker Leaders Discuss Budget at AUSA Breakfast

Dothan, AL - Fort Rucker leaders are reassuring the wiregrass. The Army post will continue to produce high quality aviators despite potential budget cuts.

At Thursday morning's AUSA kick-off breakfast, Colonel Douglas Gabram said there are several issues to address in Army aviation, but the defense budget ranks high on the list.

In fact, Fort Rucker's commanding general is in Washington D.C, discussing the budget.

"I want to assure you, the one thing you can always count on is we're going to produce the most proficient and effective aviators here at Fort Rucker. That will not change. So as change may be upon us what is not going to change is what we do for the army, that's produce combat aviators, said Gabram.

He also thanked members of the Fort Rucker/Wiregrass Chapter of AUSA for their support.. It provides scholarships for soldiers' families among many other things.
