It's safety first at Fort Rucker and new accident statistics out are backing that up.
So far for 2013, there have been 13 percent less fatal off-duty accidents than in 2012.
Officials say soldiers are actually more at risk off the battle field and on the road then they are at work, especially during the spring and summer seasons.
They say that's because of more outdoor activity.
Officials say they will keep reminding soldiers to play it safe.
