In an Enterprise courtroom a pre-trial hearing was held for a former wiregrass law enforcement officer.
In 2008, Harold Frost pled guilty to 1st-degree sodomy and 2-counts of sex abuse against a minor under 12.
The former Kinston and Newton police chief received a life sentence.
But, an appellate court later threw out the conviction on a defense motion alleging frost had ineffective counsel.
Jury selection in frost's re-trial will get underway next month.
In the meantime, he is being held at the Geneva County jail.
