Former Teacher Aide Charged

Today, a group of citizens protested in front of Enterprise City Hall asking justice be served for a special needs student at enterprise high school. Former teacher aide Michael Conroy has been charged with harassment and was scheduled for trial in Enterprise Municipal Court, today. Conroy allegedly slapped 18-year-old Eric Jamal Brown in the back of the head and neck which led to surgery. A community advocate says the school district should have done more to protect the special needs student.
Conroy's trial has been postponed till later this year. Enterprise School Superintendent Dr. Aaron Milner tells news 4 the defendant in the case is no longer employed by Enterprise School District. And since the investigation is on-going, he can't comment further...
