Former Superintendent from Sandy Hook Massacre Shares Story with Houston County School Employees

Today Houston County school employees got a lesson in school safety.

A special guest speaker shared her story at the Houston County Schools' back to school meeting.

The guest speaker was the former Superintendent of Newtown, Connecticut, schools Janet Robinson.

She shared her experience with the Sandy Hook Massacre.

Robinson discussed the chilling details of what happened and expressed the importance of school safety practices.

Houston County Superintendent Tim Pitchford met Robinson at a school safety conference in Florida this summer.
