Former Dale County Bus Driver Pleads Guilty

A former Dale County school bus driver has pleaded guilty after failing to report an accident that injured a child.
Authorities say 59-year-old Katareen Renfroe Byrd pleaded guilty Tuesday to reckless endangerment.
Reportedly, Byrd agreed to pay medical bills and to never again apply for work as a bus driver.
Authorities say Byrd was driving a bus that swerved off a dirt road in the Marley Mill community in October 2011. The Dale County superintendent says 11 students were on the bus, and one required stitches.
State troopers initially charged Byrd with leaving the scene of an accident.
