Thursday, the Florida Highway Patrol launched a new program known as Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks.
This program is aimed at reducing the amount of injuries and fatalities on the roadways across the Sunshine State.
State Troopers will be on the lookout for such actions as following too closely, unsafe lane changes and speeding, which they say are violations attributed to aggressive driving.
Aside from enforcement, they will also be prompting awareness on billboards to remind drivers of safe driving behaviors and which behaviors will lead to an increased risk of a violation.
