TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Florida's residents and tourists can soon enjoy a day of license-free saltwater fishing.
Gov. Rick Scott says he hopes families can get out and enjoy "Florida's incredible saltwater fishing opportunities" on Sept. 1.
The state's Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission offered a similar saltwater fishing opportunity on June 1. The agency also offered license-free freshwater fishing days on April 13 and June 8.
During a meeting in Pensacola on Sept. 5, the agency will consider adding four more license-free fishing days to this year's calendar.
During license-free fishing days, all other rules and regulations -- including bag limits, seasons and size restrictions -- apply.
