A Florida airboat captain attacked by an alligator last month is now facing criminal charges.
The Callier County sheriff's office says Wally Weatherholt was arrested Friday on one count of unlawful feeding of an alligator.
A nine-foot alligator bit off Weatherholt's hand during a boat tour in June.
Doctors were unable to reattach his hand.
One of the tourists on board the airboat says she saw Weatherholt holding a fish right before an alligator took off his hand.
