Florala Utility Merger

Negotiations are underway for a possible merger between the city of Florala and the Florala Utilities Board.

Last fall ... The board's manager was arrested on theft charges after an audit.

Mayor Robert Williamson believes consolidation ... Will save around 12-thousand dollars.

A joint meeting to discuss consolidation is scheduled for Friday at 3 p-m at the utility board office.
