Florala Sidewalk Grant

FLORALA OFFICIALS HAVE APPLIED FOR STATE AND FEDERAL MONIES TO UPGRADE THE CENTURY-OLD DOWNTOWN DISTRICT.
MAYOR ROBERT WILLIAMSON SAYS THE TOWN COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO REPLACE "OLD", CRACKING SIDEWALK. IT'S HOPED AN OVERALL "MAKEOVER" OF FIFTH AVENUE WILL LURE BACK POTENTIAL BUSINESS TO SOUTHERN COVINGTON COUNTY.
IF APPROVED FOR A SIDEWALK GRANT...., FLORALA WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING A 20-PERCENT LOCAL MATCH WHICH WOULD BE AROUND 70-THOUSAND DOLLARS....
