Flooding Causes Damage in City of Progress

(Coffee County, AL)—Emergency Responders are working to repair damaged caused by flash flooding in Enterprise on Tuesday.

“It was crazy, we saw the water pour into our neighbor’s house at around seven this morning, and unfortunately, it looks like they’ve lost everything,” Enterprise Resident Deborah Hockemeyer said.

Several homes on Don Circle took in more than 4 feet of water and were evacuated until the flooding receded. Meanwhile, Several Roads around the City of Progress, including Glover Lane, were also shut-down.

Rainfall is expected over the next few days. Safety officials urge drivers to “not drown and turn around” if they see water on the roadways.
