Flat Creek Bridge

Some Geneva Cunty residents are keeping a cautious eye on the water level at the Flat Creek Bridge.

Double-digit rainfall over recent days has resulted in the water to rise to the base of the State Highway 153 bridge.

It is a heavily used route to Walton County, Florida.

Local officials are monitoring the situation, and would be forced to "close" the bridge if the water goes over the structure.

Long-time residents say they haven't seen flat creek this high since the 1998 flood.
