Flash Flood Watch in Effect for the Alabama Wiregrass

A weak Tropical Wave is bringing heavy rains to parts of southeastern Alabama.

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the following counties: Houston, Dale, Henry, Geneva, and Coffee until 1pm Central time this afternoon.

This includes the cities of Enterprise, Ozark, Fort Rucker, Daleville, Headland, Abbeville, Geneva, Hartford, Samson, Slocomb, Malvern, Taylor, Ashford, Dothan, Kinsey, Cowarts, Webb, Cottonwood and other surrounding areas.

Forecasters say that heavy rainfall rates already seen in some of these areas could continue through the early afternoon hours.
