Flash Flood Watch for Florida Panhandle

Heavy rain associated with a frontal system could produce flash flooding across portions of the Florida panhandle today.

The National Weather Service office out of Tallahassee has issued a Flash Flood Watch in effect through Tuesday morning.

This watch includes cities such as De Funiak Springs, Bonifay, Chipley, Sneads, Quincy, Panama City, Sopchoppy, Santa Rosa Beach, Freeport and many nearby and surrounding areas.

Forecasters say that "widespread rainfall totals of 2 to 3 inches are likely through tonight. However, a few areas may get much more than this if storms with heavy rain rates move over the same areas repeatedly."
