Fla. Lawmaker Sponsors Bill to Allow Driverless Cars on Roads
There are more cars on the road than ever before, but imagine if you were able to leave the driving to a robot.

Florida legislators are moving to make driver-less cars a reality on the state's roads.
The most advanced models can drive up to 75 mph without human control. They use GPS signals to navigate and rooftop radar to keep up with where the other cars are.
A bill before the Florida House of Representatives would allow hands-free driving so long as the driver could immediately take over.
The sponsor says it would make your morning commute more efficient.
"It'll take all of that time that you're now spending with your hands on the wheel, looking out the windshield, into productive, useful time," said Rep. Jeff Branes. "So, I think you'll be able to have phone conversations, I think you'll be able to do many different things, and I think what you'll end up finding is the car will drive better than you and I do."
For now, driver-less cars would be limited to engineers testing them.
The new legislation also calls on the state department of highway safety and motor vehicles to begin drafting regulations for such cars. One would require a special drivers license endorsement.
