Dothan, AL - Providence Christian School has more money in their building fund.

Saturday morning the school held its first Eagle Fest.

It began with a dash for cash and a fund run, but there were also inflatables, concessions, and a silent auction.

All the proceeds are going toward a playrgound project and new technology in the classrooms.

Leaders say the turnout was much bigger than expected.

"I would say for our first year, we've had the largest turnout that we could expect. It's such a beautiful day we hope to have a lot of people come out. We're excited too because we've had a lot of people from out of town come and particiapte in the race, Columbus, GA and Tallahassee,FL," said Kellie Folger, EagleFest 2012 coordinator.

There were 225 alone registered to run.
