Fire Breaks Out at Dale County Home

A Dale County fire is under investigation.

The fire start around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning on Dale County Road 564.

A FedEx employee alerted the Echo Fire Department after noticing smoke coming from the home.

First responders were able to contain the fire within 15 minutes of the outbreak.

The home's kitchen and family room were damaged in the fire.

"We just had a family dwelling, single family dwelling the fire was contained to the kitchen the living room areas the fire started in the kitchen we are still investigating the cause of the fire," said Eric Blankenship, fire chief for the Echo Fire Department.

No one was home during the time of the fire.
