UPDATE: Victims Identified in Fatal Wreck at Coffee/Pike County Line

A two-vehicle crash late Thursday in Coffee County claimed the life of an Enterprise man.

Jeffery Phillip Rowe, 29, was killed when the 2008 Honda Civic he was driving collided head-on with a 2013 Kenworth driven by James Hardees, 56, of Elyria, Ohio.

Hardees was not injured. The crash occurred on Alabama 167 about 16 miles south of Troy.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
A late night two vehicle wreck along the Coffee/Pike county line claims one life.

It occurred at the intersection of State Highway 167 north and Coffee County Road 209.

An eyewitness says it was a head-on crash between a tractor-trailer rig and a small, subcompact vehicle.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was transported to an area emergency room for evaluation.

The Alabama Highway Patrol is on the scene and the names of those involved has not been released.

This morning, motorists are advised to take precaution if they're driving near the accident scene along highway 167 between Enterprise and Troy.
