Fatal Wreck

Police are investigating the cause of a wreck that claimed the life of a 65-year-old in Statesboro.

Authorities said Geneva Mallard died Friday when a minivan she was riding in collided with a truck on Highway 67.

Her husband, 65-year-old Bobby Mallard, survived the crash and was taken to the hospital along with six men who were traveling in the truck.

Investigators told WTOC-TV they are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
