False Raffle Tickets Arrest in Troy

The Troy Police Department arrested Lisa Gail Haynes a 43-year-old white female at approximately 10:00 AM Thursday for theft by deception 2nd degree in connection with allegedly selling false raffle tickets for a 1-year-old leukemia patient according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis

TPD received information that Haynes was attempting to sell these tickets at a school in Troy Thursday morning. Haynes was told to leave the school property.

The tickets were for a $100 gas card and the price on the tickets were $2.00 per ticket.

The vehicle Haynes was driving, a blue Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUV, was stopped on Oak Street by TPD. Haynes was asked to come to the Troy Police Department for further investigation into the false ticket sales. Haynes signed a consent for police to search her vehicle. Police located over 490 tickets that had been sold in her vehicle during the search. Haynes told police she was selling the tickets to support a habit she has.

An arrest warrant was obtained for her arrest for theft by deception 2nd degree. She was processed through the Troy City Jail and transferred to the Pike County Jail Thursday. Her bond was set $2,500.00 in this case.
