Facebook Email Change Upsets Some Users

Facebook users are starting to see what some call an unpleasant surprise on their profile pages.

The social network is now setting every user's default email to an @facebook.com address.

That's the address that other users see on your page if they want to send you email.

Every Facebook user gets a free Facebook.com email account, but many don't use it.

Several bloggers are writing about the change this week, with many highly critical of the switch.

A Facebook representative says the email change is rolling out to all 900 million users.

Users can change the default email address to anything they want, by editing the contact information section of their profiles.
