FL Panhandle Crashes Claim Two Lives

NORTHWEST FLORIDA - Vehicle crashes in the Florida Panhandle left two people dead Monday.

The first died just before noon in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 10 at the 119 Mile Marker in Washington County.

The Florida Highway Patrol identified the fatality as Misty Nicole Hanson, 28, of Westville. She was a passenger in a pick up truck that ran off the shoulder of I-10 and rolled over.

She died shortly after the crash at Bay Medical/Sacred Heart in Panama City.

The second deadly crash Monday happened in Okaloosa County on Kennedy Bridge Road east of Bullard Church Road at 7:20 PM.

53 year old Robin E. Lucas of Wing, Alabama died when his motorcycle went out of control as the driver failed to negotiate a curve.

Troopers say Lucas crashed into the bridge railing and overturned.

He died at the scene. The FHP says was not wearing a helmet.
