FL Escaped Inmate Detained

Authorities in the Florida Panhandle say they've captured an inmate who failed to show up to the Department of Correction's work release center.
Officials say 27-year-old Brandon Bingaman didn't return to the program Sunday afternoon but was found later that night.
The News Herald of Panama City reports Bingaman only had about 50 days left on a two-and-a-half year sentence for burglary, grand theft, trafficking in stolen property and possession of cocaine.
Bay County Sheriff's spokesman Tommy Ford says Bingaman had been visiting his parents.
Inmates in the work release program are typically non-violent offenders with a small amount of time left on their sentences. Once they're captured, a felony escape charge with a maximum five-year sentence is tacked on.
