FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida A formerly homeless Florida man is
about to collect the final $5,000 of a reward for his tip that led to an arrest in the killing of a deputy sheriff.

Mark Spradley will be handed the last reward installment Thursday at the Broward Sheriff's Office. Spradley got a total of $10,000 for helping solve the 2007 killing of Deputy Paul Rein.

Spradley was living in his car when he gave a ride to Michael Mazza as he fled from shooting Rein. Spradley realized Mazza was the subject of a manhunt, stopped at a pawn shop and asked the shopkeeper to call police.

Spradley got half the reward early because he was homeless at the time.

Mazza pleaded guilty to murder in February and is serving four life prison terms.
