Eufalua Holds Off B.C. Rain 63-59 at South Regional Tournament

Eufaula survived a late flurry from B.C. Rain, knocking off the Raiders 63-59 at the South Regional Basketball Tournament on Tuesday. With the win, the Tigers advanced to the 5A Regional Final on Friday against the winner of Faith Academy and Russell County.

The Tigers led by seven points and at halftime, but had to cling to a slim advantage for most of the second half. The game was in doubt until the final second, when Vincent Butler hit two free throws to stave off the Raiders rally.

Terion Gates led Eufaula with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Jaylin Robinson chipped in 17 points and Butler added 10 points in the Tigers victory.

Terrance Nelson led the Raiders with 17 points, and Tyler French added 14 points. The Raiders ended the year with a 16-14 record.
