Heartbeats picked up speed in Enterprise Saturday morning. Kids and grown-ups got active at the community health fair.
Dance Teachers got everybody moving with a zumba lesson. The Life-South bus pulled in for blood donations. There were even inflatables for the little ones. The health fair also gave people access to free screenings for cholesterol, diabetes and blood pressure.
Its an event the medical community starts planning six months in advance, organizers say its especially helpful to senior citizens in the area.
"We have a large retiree area here from fort rucker. we've had a lot of retired people come out today which is wonderful because they need to know stretching exercises and things of that nature so they can stay fit and agile for a long period of time."
The Enterprise Police Department, Fire Department, and Rescue Squad also came out to show kids their vehicles and answer first responder questions.
