Farmers from all over Coffee County sold homegrown seasonal produce this morning at the Annual Enterprise Farmer's Market Kickoff.
Along with shopping, consumers had the opportunity to enter for a chance to win a prize. The purpose of the farmers market is to encourage locally grown produce. Enterprise officials say events like this strengthen community growth. It's a win-win situation for everybody.
"I think it's fun. I'm retired, I like meeting and talking with people and the busier it is I really like it that way," said Shagg Laprade of Country Best Farms.
Regular farmer's market days will continue throughout the summer on Tuesdays , Thursdays and Saturdays. They last from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. by the railroad depot train tracks.
