Empty Bowls Event

The empty bowls project is making its way to Dothan.
It’s designed to help stop hunger in the wiregrass, and will help both the Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank and the cultural arts center.
Local potters will make and donate soup bowls.
The bowls will be sold to the public for ten dollars each.
If you decide to buy a bowl, you will also get a meal of soup bread and water.

"Now the reason why we decided to do soup and bread, is we wanted to provide donors with a meager meal to remember there are people in the wiregrass who eat meagerly on a daily basis and if they get to eat at all." Julie Gonzales said.

Bowls donated to the community will be sold from 11am till 2 pm. February 9th.
