Several months ago, the Henry County Emergency Management Agency signed a contract with Farley Nuclear Plant.
That contract requires emergency agencies to have a plan and practice that plan.
Monday's training went over radiological safety And handling a bomb threat situation.
Attendees say teamwork is key when it comes to keeping residents safe.
"I've spent the last 30 years of my life in public safety, if we don't work together, we don't accomplish the job. Working together betters what we do for the people, " said Henry County EMA Director, Ronnie Dollar.
This is the first year for this kind of training.
