The commander of the 42nd air wing at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery ... Spoke at an annual black history observance in Elba.
Colonel Trent Edwards served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In addition, he was a liaison to the Secretary of the Air Force in the Pentagon.
Colonel Edwards' family is from Coffee County.
He asked young people to aim high in their future careers.
