Elba Road Grant

Alabama Governor Robert Bentley’s office today awarded 1-million dollars in community development block grants for road improvements in several wiregrass counties.
Elba officials plan to use a quarter-of-a-million dollars to re-surface a half dozen roads in the city.
In some cases, the roads haven't been re-paved in a half century.
They're marked by potholes and cracked pavement.
The city is chipping in a local match of 27-thousand dollars.
A Brunson Road resident says the monies are sorely needed…
