Eglin, Hurlburt Field Preparing for Storm

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (AP) -- Two military bases in northwest Florida are preparing for Tropical Storm Isaac.

The Norwest Florida Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/SBops2 ) both Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field began preparations Friday. Both did not immediately decide whether any aircraft or personnel will be evacuated.

The storm is still days away from the Panhandle and north Florida region. National Hurricane Center spokesman Dennis Feltgen says the Panhandle already has had a wet summer, so potential flooding is especially possible there.
