Ebro Greyhound Park Robbed

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an armed robber who hit the jackpot at Ebro Greyhound Park.

The Sheriff’s Office says a man stormed into the park Tuesday, shortly after it closed at 3:00 a.m., overpowered a security guard and ran into the room where the cash is kept. He grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and ran off.

The suspect, who was wearing a mask, hit the security guard over the head with a fire extinguisher.

The crime was caught on surveillance camera.

The security guard refused to be transported by EMS.

Investigators have identified a number of possible suspects.
