Drug Arrest in Washington County

The Washington County Drug Task Force consisting of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Chipley Police Department, and Federal Agencies reports an arrest stemming from the discovery of the largest volume of methamphetamines discovered in a single bust in Washington County history.

As a result of a narcotics investigation, WCDTF investigators arrived at 1408 state road 79 over the weekend to follow up on reports of drug activity at the residence. A search revealed multiple pipes with methamphetamine residue, electronic scales, several shake and bake style methamphetamine labs in active production of methamphetamines, and 850 grams of methamphetamine oil (product before drying process).

Arrested was:

Kenneth Wayne Scott, 31 year old white male of 1408 state road 79 Chipley, FL
• Possession of Methamphetamines (Trafficking Amount)
• Manufacturing Methamphetamines (Trafficking Amount)
• Possession of a Controlled Substance Without Prescription
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

“Some of our most valuable tips often originate from members of our community” state Sheriff Haddock. “In this case, it resulted in a historic amount of methamphetamines being seized and removed from our county.”
