Dothan Woman Arrested On Second Degree Theft Charges

DOTHAN, AL -- A Dothan woman has been arrested on felony theft charges. Dothan Police on Wednesday arrested Cecilia Tenila Helms in connection with a recent theft investigation at Belk's Department Store.

Helms and two unidentified black females allegedly took $600.00 worth of merchandise from Belk's without paying for it on Friday, August 8th. At the time, Helms identity was also unknown.

Dothan Police requested assistance from the public to identify the suspects. Helms turned herself into authorities on Wednesday, August 13th.

Helms, 35 years old, has bee charged with second degree Theft of Property. Her bond has been set at $2,500.00 for each count.

The Dothan Police Department will continue to pursue the other two individuals and ask that anyone with information regarding their identities and whereabouts to call 334-615-3000.
