Dothan Traffic Stop Results in Cocaine Arrest

DOTHAN, AL - On January 12, 2013 the Dothan Police Department made a felony narcotic arrest following a traffic stop. Police say a routine traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for running a stop sign. During the course of the stop, police learned the driver, James Carver, was unlicensed and as the investigation continued, discovered he was also in possession of cocaine. The driver was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

• James Carver, black male, 58 years of age, of West Burdeshaw Street was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with bond being established later today. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
