Dothan Sales and Lodging Taxes Up in May

Sales and lodging taxes for the City of Dothan were both up in May.

According to the Latest numbers reported in June, the city collected more than $186,000 in sales taxes, which is up nearly 4-percent from the previous month.

For the year, the city’s sales tax collections are up 3.13-percent.

Lodging tax collections were also up in May. The city collected $18,300 – that is more than 14-percent from April.

For the year, the city’s lodging tax collections are up just under one-percent.
