Dothan Sales Tax Collections Up Slightly, Lodging Still Down

2013-12 Lodging Tax Collections

DOTHAN, AL - The latest numbers are in for the City of Dothan's tax collections.

In November, the city collected nearly one-percent more in sales taxes than the previous month.

They collected $4.8 million, a 0.86 percent increase from October.

For the year, the city has collected 0.79 percent more sales taxes than last fiscal year.

Lodging tax numbers for November look a little better than October but are still down for the year.

The city collected 8 percent fewer lodging taxes and are down 11-and-a-half percent for the fiscal year.
