DOTHAN, AL - Some good news for the City of Dothan Wednesday.
Sales tax collections were up for September. The city collected more than $4 million. That's up 3.39 percent from August.
For the year, sales tax collections are up 1.27 percent from fiscal year 2011.
The city's lodging tax collections don't look as good, however.
September collections were down more than 16 percent from August. And for the year collections are down 4.5 percent from 2011.
