Dothan Sales, Lodging Tax Collections Down for February

DOTHAN, AL - The City of Dothan collected fewer sales and lodging taxes last month.

The city collected $4.3 million dollars in sales taxes in February. That's down nearly 2 percent from the month before. For the year, the city's sales tax collections are down point 4 percent.

Lodging tax collections were down more than 2 percent from January. The city collected nearly $110,000 in lodging taxes in February. The numbers are more positive for the year though. The city has collected more than 6 percent more lodging taxes so far this fiscal year.
