The Dothan Regional Airport is on the federal aviation administration's list of towers to be closed.
The airport has until March 13th, to make their case for staying open.
The FAA will announce a final list of closing towers on March 18th.
The control towers of airports on that list will be shut down in early April.

“There continue to be efforts to try to a keep out tower in place we think that’s important long-term.
Secondly as it impacts creating a lot of jobs in our community which is our top priority anytime so it’s real important.” Houston County Chairman Mark Culver said.

Airport director Art Morris says they are fighting as hard as they can to keep their tower open.
They are sending their request to the FAA tomorrow.
